Giving Serious Consideration

I was in conversation last evening with one of my brothers in Christ. We were talking about our present world--- its constant change, its self--centerdness, its quest for understanding LIFE, its unstable political environment, its slogan of ENTITLEMENT, and among other things, its void of the one and only true triune God the Father, The Son, Jesus Christ, and The Person of the Holy Spirit.   This particular brother has sons that will inherit what our current generation and those before have created. When you look at it this way, you begin to see, it is definitely a future that will embrace more godlessness, humanism, and apostasy.  Though this is not a convenient subject to discuss, it is imperative that those who profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior rise to the occasion of proclaiming, living, and transferring truth---especially to our next generations.

Jesus promised us not to get distracted or overwhelmed by such modern-day perils, because He has already overcome the world.  John 16:33 NKJV says "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”  As I reflect on this truth, 'again!', I am encouraged even the more to stay connected to what matters most.  For me I know this is God's Holy Word and my relationship with Him.  Darkness may seem to prevail  right now, but Jesus Christ, The Light of the World, has conquered every degree of darkness.  The enemy is doomed and he knows it.

So we now as believers can remind him every day by what we choose, what we demonstrate, and how we live.   Are you up for the challenge?  It is just that!  You don't have to do anything, or you can do something most excellent by heeding, obeying, and following the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior:

Matthew 28: 18-20 NKJV And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

I choose to do just that.   Will you?  Jesus is THE ANSWER for the world today.  May you be blessed, strengthened, and encouraged today!
